As a Marriott Certified Travel Agent, I am happy to stay at their properties while traveling for work. In addition to being a Travel Agent, Travel Blogger, Stella & Dot Stylist – aka a One Busy Bee – I am also a Deployment Manager for a startup in Palo Alto, California. I was able to get myself and coworkers great rates for our week-long stay in Indiana. Eighty minutes from the Indianapolis airport, you can find yourself near the Courtyard Marriott in Muncie and the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Anderson, Indiana.
The Courtyard by Marriott in Muncie is downtown, next door to the Horizon Convention Center and Children’s Museum and has a multiple-story parking garage. The lobby is spacious with a lot of seating, a counter that serves Starbucks and breakfast, pool, gym, a fire pit outside and other restaurant on-site. Friendly front desk personnel is appreciated during a late check in and the breakfast sandwich was tasty.
The rooms with two beds are spacious with a shower tub, table space to put your luggage on, a desk, television, coffee maker, USB and power outlets on the nightstand. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioner worked just fine.
The Fairfield property in Anderson has been open since April 2018. Located across the way from a Meijer store, near a Culver’s and Montana Mike’s, the property has its own parking lot. With the many sidewalks going to no where, it seems there are plans for development in this area.
The lobby is clean, spacious and the staff is incredibly friendly. Trice at the Front Desk is incredibly helpful and the lady cleaning the lobby is warm and welcoming and makes great conversation. On the bottom floor, find an eating area, a TV where I enjoyed another 49ers win, the pool and a gym.
The room with two beds was not as spacious as the Courtyard but it was still very clean. The bed was comfortable, it had a smart TV, power outlet at the nightstand and a desk. My favorite part of the bathroom was the large illuminated mirror.
I expect to be traveling more in the Mid-West soon. See ‘From Maui to Muncie‘ as well.
